CQC Support for Nominated Individuals and Managers

First Steps

Opening Your New Care Organisation

The first step if you want to set up a new care providing organisation is to contact CQC to see if it needs to be registered.

If it does, you need to complete a registration process with them. You can find out more on their website at:

You can also find more information to help you at: neworganisation.

CQC Registration

CQC requires that all regulated services have a registered manager that’s responsible for ensuring it meets CQC standards.

The application process can take up to 12 weeks and includes an application form, an interview, and references.

Your service must comply with CQC ‘Regulation 7: requirements relating to registered managers’ which states that providers will have a registered manager that is of good character and is competent to do the role.

CQC approves who becomes a registered manager, and the process whilst straight forward can be lengthy and costly if it is not submitted correctly.

Applying for registration may appear daunting but we can help you to prepare your CQC registration documentation, mentor you for the provider and registered manager interview and provide the necessary policy and procedures.

Along with mentoring we can provide you with all or any of the following:
